A long time favorite within the horror community here in Colorado, the Oddities and Curiosities expo is a place full of every dark dream imaginable. This expo is one of the few places an individual can take home exemplary works of taxidermy, as well as no small portion of local art that will leave the customer feeling satisfied and excited for more.
For those reading who may not know what Oddities and Curiosities is, allow me to introduce you to your new favorite expo. If you find yourself at the Colorado Convention Center on October 2nd you will discover products and art curated to suit anyone with an appetite for the “weird”. Skulls and bones, mutated taxidermy, Halloween inspired decor, antiques, mortuary medical equipment, custom clothing, jewelry, and so much more await you there. The best part of all the items available is they are all ethically sourced and legal to own!
Fun for Everyone
We had the pleasure of visiting the O&C Expo a few years back and found it to be all we had expected and more! Upon entrance, I noticed the mass amounts of dealer tables, selling various curios and novelty items that one could get nowhere else. Long tables with all manner of taxidermy animals, framed portraits of hand painted works, skulls, and horror collectibles.
In addition, to all manner of dead and decor, there were pieces on display seen in Ripley’s Believe it or Not, performers, haunted hotel owners, and even a few artists we had the honor of writing about in the past. I have been to a multitude of festivals and expos, some of which were a 3 day event, and yet I have never been to an event like the O&C Expo that has been able to keep my attention so rapt, and all in a single day! This event is truly worth a visit from you and the entire family.
A Passion for the Weird
The great artists, performers, taxidermists, and other individuals that make the magic happen at the expo could not have done so without two very driven individuals.
Michelle and Tony Cozzaglio are the great ring masters behind the creation of the Oddities and Curiosities Expo. It was through their mutual love of the macabre, the weird, and the abnormal, that many artists both local to Colorado and the rest of the US are able to display their impressive works. They are committed to keeping the creepy culture alive by creating an event where all of us boils and ghouls can meet and forge new friends and grand experiences.
